About Parable

How Parable started

With a borrowed camera in 2011. Here’s the rest, how we work and who leads us.

Our story

It started with a borrowed camera

In 2011, Sam, a youth pastor, borrowed a camera from a student’s dad and made a five-minute version of the Prodigal Son in a parking garage. His students shared it everywhere. The next year he made The Good Samaritan, with better lighting.

Today about thirty people work with writers, actors and crews around the world. Every film is free to watch, because these stories were never ours to sell.
